Upper Onslow is a neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a chill atmosphere. It is relatively quiet in Upper Onslow, due to the presence of very few pedestrians.

Transportation

Cars are a great transportation option in Upper Onslow. Nearby highways, such as Highway 104, are fairly easy to access from anywhere in this part of Colchester Subdivision B, and parking is quite easy. Upper Onslow is not very cycling-friendly since the area is not very flat, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are also not very conducive to pedestrians because very few common errands can be run without a car.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about 80% of the units in the neighbourhood whereas the rest are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this part of Colchester Subdivision B. About 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.

Services

There are only a few high schools in Upper Onslow and therefore they can be a long walk away. Furthermore, this neighbourhood does not have any primary schools. In addition, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long distance away. With regards to eating, buying one's groceries very often requires the use of a vehicle in Upper Onslow. A limited number of restaurants are available in this part of Colchester Subdivision B as well.
