Valley Park is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. It is very easy to access green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 20 of them close by for residents to explore. This neighbourhood is also especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour near Red Hill Valley Parkway.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this neighbourhood. It is very easy to park, and most homes for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, such as Red Hill Valley Parkway. However, travelling by public transit is difficult in this area. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. It is convenient to travel by bicycle in Valley Park. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not particularly well-suited for people who like to travel on foot as meeting daily needs is at times challenging without a vehicle.

Housing

Nearly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are occupied by renters. In this part of Hamilton, about 70% of dwellings are single detached homes, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About 30% of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s. There is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this part of the city.

It is sometimes possible for house buyers in Valley Park to purchase their groceries by walking. Likewise, this part of the city is a good place in which to go out to eat, and a small selection of cafes is available as well. Regarding education, daycares and primary schools are very convenient to reach without a car from anywhere in Valley Park. On the other hand, families may find it difficult to reach high schools by walking.
