There are a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically around the corner. It is difficult for people travelling on foot to navigate this area as common amenities such as liquor stores or banks can be an occasionally long trip away. This area is also not especially bike-friendly as the cycling network is not especially well-developed. Nevertheless, cyclists do not encounter serious elevation changes.
Housing
The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Valois is an important part of its character. On the other hand, high schools are not very numerous and thus not always within walking distance. With regards to eating, in most cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. Valois is a good place in which to go out to eat, and residents can enjoy a few cafes as well. It is also a rather short walk to a reasonable choice of clothing stores.
