    Waterloo Village is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of Kingston is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, public green spaces, including Trillium Ridge Park and Arbour Ridge Park, are very well-distributed and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to relax in, which makes it easy to access them.

    Transportation

    Cars are a very good transportation option in Waterloo Village. It is straightforward to find a place to park. In contrast, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most properties. Walking in Waterloo Village is not very popular, despite the fact that many daily needs can be met without a car. This part of Kingston is also not especially conducive to biking as the bicycling network is rather limited, and there are a fair number of hills for cyclists to brave.

    Around 40% of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Waterloo Village, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around two thirds of the units in Waterloo Village whereas the remainder are rented. Around 40% of homes in this area were constructed between 1990 and 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s.

    It is convenient to access the nearest grocery store on foot from any location in this area. Additionally, there are a fair number of options within a short distance for those who value restaurants and cafes. In terms of education, in this area, families will almost always be able to reach daycares and primary schools as pedestrians. In contrast, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools.
