    A highlight of West Humber is its vast selection of green spaces. To be more precise, it is very easy to access parks in the neighbourhood since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to check out. However, most streets have fairly bad tree coverage. This area is a wonderful neighbourhood for those who aren't bothered by a bit of noise, as traffic during busier hours of the day can occasionally be loud.

    Transportation

    The favoured approach to get around in West Humber is usually a car. Most of the street network is conducive to driving, and finding a place to park is easy. West Humber also benefits from a reasonably good public transit system. In particular, property owners profit from the Etobicoke North with access to the Kitchener. House owners can count on Renforth Station East Platform 7 and Renforth Station West Platform 1 on the Meadowvale Express. There are about 30 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. Walking in West Humber is not very common, although many day-to-day needs are convenient to meet without the use of a car. Moving around by bicycle is also difficult in West Humber as there are a good number of slopes, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed. Nevertheless, some enjoyable sectors for bicycling exist.

    Housing

    About 80% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. In this area, roughly two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. The homes in this part of the city are quite old, since around 40% of its buildings were constructed pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.

    Parents and their kids will find that no matter where their house is situated in West Humber, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, high schools are not very abundant and accordingly not always within walking distance. Concerning food, it is difficult to access the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian in this neighbourhood. Furthermore, those who appreciate dining in restaurants or cafes will have a fair number of options in West Humber. It is also convenient to reach a number of clothing stores without the need for a vehicle.
