Westhill offers a very good selection of green spaces to enjoy. It is very easy to reach parks from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to check out. Lastly, it remains relatively calm in this area, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.
Transportation
The preferred way to navigate this part of West Vancouver is usually driving. Parking is easy, and most properties for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, residents using public transit may find few choices in Westhill as a result of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. It is impractical for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood as carrying out day-to-day needs is sometimes challenging without a car. Biking is also challenging in Westhill as the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are quite a few elevation changes. Nonetheless, there is a reasonably high density of cyclists.
Housing
About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the rest are renters. In this part of West Vancouver, the vast majority of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the houses are mainly duplexes. About one third of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1990 and 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of the municipality is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
Services
It is a reasonably short trip to get to daycares and schools from any location in Westhill. As far as eating is concerned, in all but a few cases, a vehicle is needed to buy groceries. There are a limited number of opportunities for those who care about nearby restaurants.
