    No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Westridge is a fairly good option. Although the atmosphere is not the most lively in this area with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very hard to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very far. Westridge is excellent for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. There are around 20 green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, including Callingwood Park Off Leash Area and Westridge Park, and they are very well-situated, which makes them very easy to access.

    Transportation

    Driving is a great medium of transportation in Westridge. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, Westridge is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually a short distance away. Physically active house buyers will appreciate the very bicycling-friendly character of Westridge. More specifically, the cycling network is reasonably good. In contrast, getting around by walking is not very popular in Westridge, although many daily needs can be met without a car.

    Housing

    Nearly all of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the rest are renters. Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in this part of the city. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place between 1960 and 1980. Although this part of Edmonton is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.

    Services

    It is difficult to get to the closest grocery store on foot from any location in this part of Edmonton. Likewise, there is usually a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. When it comes to education, in Westridge, parents and their schoolchildren will almost always be able to get to daycares as pedestrians. In contrast, there are only a few high schools in this part of the city and accordingly they can be a long walk away. Moreover, Westridge does not contain any primary schools.
