Westridge offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, green spaces, like Westridge Park and Patricia Ravine, are very well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, making them very easy to get to from most locations within the neighbourhood.


The car is very often the preferred method to move around in Westridge. It is especially convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is challenging in this area. Thankfully, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. Biking is convenient in Westridge since this part of the city is home to a very good bicycling infrastructure. Walking is not very practical for home buyers in this neighbourhood because running common errands is challenging on foot.


The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Westridge is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood while the remainder are rented. This part of the city experienced its largest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available homes are from this time period.


Parents and their kids will appreciate the proximity to daycares, which are within walking distance from most houses for sale in Westridge. In contrast, Westridge does not have any primary schools or high schools. In terms of food, it is frequently an option for property owners in this neighbourhood to purchase groceries on foot.
