Westview is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Getting to public green spaces, including City of Saskatoon Greenhouse and Nursery and Dr. Seager Wheeler Park, is easy from a large number of locations within the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to check out. This part of Saskatoon is also wonderful for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. It is convenient to access a place to park, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is difficult in Westview. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Traveling as a pedestrian is not particularly practical for house buyers in Westview since few daily errands can be run without a vehicle. In contrast, Westview is rather appropriate for cycling as riding a bike is facilitated by the generally flat terrain, and there are a fair number of bike lanes.

Housing

Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in Westview. Most of the housing growth in this part of Saskatoon occurred between 1960 and 1980. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 15% are renters.

Services

It is a very short trip to access primary schools and daycares from anywhere in this part of the city. However, there are no high schools in Westview. When it comes to eating, the closest supermarket in Westview is typically only an extended walk away. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and there are also a few coffee shops in this area.
