This area is a very convenient part of Coquitlam for travelling by car. Coming across a place to park is quite easy. In contrast, commuting by transit can be difficult in Westwood Plateau by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. It is impractical for pedestrians to move around in this part of Coquitlam since many day-to-day needs are challenging to meet on foot. The bicycle is a rather limited mode of transportation in Westwood Plateau as the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and cyclists encounter a significant amount of hills.

This part of the city also has quite a good variety of housing size options; there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area. This part of the city experienced its most significant building boom in the 1990s, so most of the available homes are from this era.


Getting to the nearest supermarket on foot is an option for some, but not all, property owners in Westwood Plateau. There are also about 10 restaurants and coffee shops in this area. Regarding education, it is a rather short walk to get to primary schools from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, high schools are not especially abundant and thus not always within walking distance.
