Transportation

Whitby Estates is especially car friendly. It is very easy to access a place to park, and most properties for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. However, getting around by public transit is challenging in Whitby Estates. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. It is very difficult for people travelling by foot to move around in this part of West Vancouver since very few daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. Whitby Estates is also not very suited for bicycling since there are few bike lanes, and bike riders encounter a considerable amount of elevation changes.

Housing

Around one third of properties in Whitby Estates were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. In this neighbourhood, families will often be able to reach daycares as pedestrians. In contrast, this area does not contain any primary schools or high schools. With respect to food, in the majority of cases, a car is needed to do groceries. Residents of this neighbourhood can enjoy a few restaurants.
