Whitefish Real Estate & Houses for Sale

Whitefish offers a slower-paced atmosphere. Whitefish is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very calm. It is very hard to reach parks from most locations in the community since they are distributed sporadically. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to enjoy.

    Transportation

Whitefish is an extraordinarily good part of Greater Sudbury for travelling by car. It is very easy to park. The bike is a rather poor method of transportation in this area because there are a good number of elevation changes, and this part of Greater Sudbury is home to quite bad cycling infrastructure. Traveling on foot is also not very practical for residents in this community since almost no daily errands can be run without a car.

    Housing

The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Whitefish is an important part of its character. Around 40% of homes in this community were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the dwellings in Whitefish and 5% are occupied by renters.

    Services

This area does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, daycares are not abundant and therefore not always within walking distance. With respect to eating, doing one's groceries very often requires the use of a vehicle in this part of the city.
