    Williamsburg is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Williamsburg is very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.

    Transportation

    Williamsburg is car friendly. It is easy to access a place to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Williamsburg is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. This part of Whitby is not especially well-suited for pedestrians as few daily errands can be run without needing a car. Williamsburg is also not particularly cycling-friendly because the bicycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive, and there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists.

    Housing

    The housing stock of Williamsburg is composed primarily of single detached homes and row houses. The homes in this area are very new, since about 45% of its dwellings were constructed following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 1990s. This part of Whitby is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the dwellings in Williamsburg and 10% are rented.

    Services

    Home buyers in this area will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a rather long trip away. In addition, this part of Whitby is a good place in which to go out to eat, and a small variety of cafes can be found as well. With regards to education, it is a reasonably short stroll to access schools and daycares from any location in Williamsburg.
