North End has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Although the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this part of Halifax, its busier streets can still be quite energetic, and finding one of the about 30 bars is very easy as they are generally located very close by. Most areas in North End are especially quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. There are over 50 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Look Off Park and Citadel Hill, and they are especially well-distributed, making it very easy to get to them from most locations within the neighbourhood.
