Lisgar has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the city, its busier streets can still be quite lively, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located around the corner. Lisgar is wonderful for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Access to parks in the neighbourhood, including Mohawk Sports Park, is very easy, since there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to relax in and numerous properties have a park very close by.
