Dovercourt Park is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this part of the city. Dovercourt Park is reasonably quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic, although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to the railway line. This area also features a small amount of greenery; to be more precise, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is sub-par. However, parks are especially well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, which makes them very easy to access. Finally, it is very easy to find vibrant areas in this part of Toronto. Despite the fact that there is a narrow selection of entertainment venues, the streets are usually busy with people, and with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located very close by.
