Oakwood Village has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Although the atmosphere is not the most lively in this part of Toronto, its busier streets can still be quite energetic, and places to go out at night are well-spread throughout the area. Main streets, such as Oakwood Avenue, are excellent for those who like going out. Most areas in Oakwood Village are very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. The greenery in this neighbourhood is quite prominent; there are about 40 parks nearby for residents to explore, such as Earlscourt Park and Cedarvale Park, and they are especially well-spread out, which makes it very easy to access them. Residents will also find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is reasonably good.
