Dovercourt Park is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this part of Toronto. This part of the city has a large number of areas to explore. Despite the fact that there is a narrow selection of entertainment venues, there are a very large number of people around most of the time, and finding one of the approximately 10 bars is very easy because they are generally situated in very convenient locations. Dovercourt Park is reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally calm, however noise can be an issue close to the railway line. There is not that much greenery in this area; to be more specific, residents will find that a lot of streets have sub-par tree coverage. Nonetheless, parks, such as Christie Pits Park and Dufferin Grove Park, are especially well-spread out and there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to unwind in, which makes it very easy to reach them.
