The Beaches has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. The Beaches is quiet overall, as the streets are generally reasonably tranquil. However, there is a fair amount of greenery in this area as there are numerous tree-lined streets. Public green spaces, such as Greenwood Park and Kew Gardens, are very well-located and there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to relax in, making it very easy to get to them. Lastly, although the ambience is not the most lively in this part of Toronto, its busier streets can still be quite dynamic, and finding one of the approximately 10 bars is very easy because they are generally situated in very convenient locations. Kingston Road in particular offers a wide selection of nightlife.
